The next stage of enterprise AI is moving beyond adding assistants to individual tasks. The more consequential shift is organizational: companies are beginning to redesign customer-experience workflows around AI systems that can coordinate content, personalization, recommendations and service across a wider operating model.
Jet2's new multi-year technology partnership offers a clear example. The travel group plans to use agentic AI across customer experience, with personalization built around travel preferences and booking behavior, while a dedicated joint lab will place specialist engineers alongside Jet2's digital, customer and technology teams.

The operating model matters more than the interface
The notable part is not simply the use of AI-generated recommendations. The partnership combines customer data, content production, brand controls and service workflows. That creates a system in which AI is connected to the same operational layers that determine what a customer sees, when they see it and whether the experience remains consistent with the brand.
This matters because agentic systems become more useful when they have access to governed context and clearly defined workflows. A conversational interface on its own may improve convenience, but deeper value comes when the organization can connect that interface to customer history, approved content, real-time offers and internal decision rules.
Co-development is becoming part of AI procurement
The joint customer-experience lab also points to a change in how large companies buy technology. Instead of purchasing a platform and handing implementation to internal teams, vendors are increasingly embedding technical specialists directly into customer organizations to test and scale new services. That shortens the distance between software capability and operational deployment.
For marketing and customer-experience leaders, the implication is significant. The competitive question is becoming less about which company has access to the latest model and more about which company can integrate AI into a controlled system of data, content, brand governance and service. Agentic AI is therefore starting to look less like a product feature and more like an operating architecture.
